TEP_EQUAL_ELDERLY.
The Initative, highlighting the added value of elderly workers
Goals
Incorporating existing regional know-how of the Territorial Employment Pacts and the institutionalized partnerships between players in the fields of economy and the labor market, the project aims at an extensive bunch of concrete objectives, such as:
- Building a knowledge-pool, considering the needs of elderly workers and the economy, mainly in view of the continuing process of the enlargement of the European Union
- Raising awareness on the importance of an age-based (re-) organization of work and – based on structural analysis - formulating measures for the advancement of employability in small and medium sized enterprises
- Developing and testing of the instrument “elderly plans” in three regions and after a positive outcome of the evaluation in all programmes of the Territorial Employment Pacts (TEPs)
- Developing and testing in four pilot enterprises of instruments for target-group specific human resource marketing and a modular support system for organizations, to address and successfully integrate elderly workers into the working process
- Developing special products for the individual support of elderly workers seeking employment
- Enquiry on the reasons for the difficulties in accessing the labor market for women 45+
- Realizing further training in the field of personality development to sustain working ability until regular retirement
- Exchange of experiences across generations for women, focussed on lifelong career-planning
- Documenting implementations of programmes, the use of synergies in between programmes and the transfer to other TEPs
- Enhancing the capability of the TEPs in policy advice; networking with EQUAL-partnerships from other, particulary the new member states of the European Union
